From Raleigh (I-40):
Take I-40 W. Take the NC-147 North (exit 279 B), toward Durham/Downtown. Merge on to NC - 147. Take the NC-55/Alston Avenue exit, (exit 11). Turn left on S. Alston Avenue. Once on S. Alston Avenue, see “Parking Directions” below.
From Raleigh (Highway 70):
Take US 70 West to the I-540 Ramp toward Raleigh/Durham International Airport. Take the I-40 W exit toward Durham. Take NC-147 North (exit 279 B), toward Durham/Downtown. Merge on to NC - 147. Take the NC-55/Alston Avenue exit, (exit 11). Once on S. Alston Avenue, see “Parking Directions” below.
From Fayetteville (I-95 to I-40):
Take I-95 N. I-95 will present a Raleigh/Wilmington Exit near Benson, NC. From I-95, veer to the left on I-40 W. Take the NC-147 North (exit 279 B), toward Durham/Downtown. Merge on NC - 147. Take the NC-55/Alston Avenue exit, (exit 11). Turn left on S. Alston Avenue. Once on S. Alston Avenue, see “Parking Directions” below.
From Greensboro/Charlotte/Winston-Salem (I-40/I-85)
Take I-40 E / I-85 N. When the road forks (past Burlington), take the I - 85 N exit toward Durham (the left side of the fork). Take the Durham Freeway/NC-147 S, (exit 172). Take to the NC-55/Alston Avenue exit, (exit 11). Turn right on S. Alston Avenue. Once on S. Alston Avenue, see “Parking Directions” below.
Parking Directions:
Once on S. Alston Avenue, drive through the next 3 stoplights (147 exit, Linwood Avenue, E. Lawson Street)
Turn right onto Cecil St. (the fourth stoplight). You will pass the NCCU School of Law on the right immediately before meeting Cecil St.
Drive up Cecil St. to Fayetteville St. Turn right onto Fayetteville St. and keep left.
Turn left onto Lawson St. (the second stoplight).
Drive through the intersection with Concord St. The Mary Townes Science Bldg (#38 on campus map) and the BRITE Bldg (#11 on campus map) will be on your left. Immediately behind the BRITE bldg is the entrance to the upper parking lot. The entrance to the lower parking lot is further down Lawson St.
You may park in the upper or lower level lots behind the BRITE Bldg. Do not park in Reserve, Handicap, Tow-Away Zones or Restricted Areas.
